Would you like to hang out with Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng while supporting a great cause? On February 25th, the Illinois Holocaust Museum, Sudanese Community Association of Illinois, and Enough Project are co-sponsoring Education for a Generation at the Union League Club of Chicago. The event is raising funds for education in Darfuri refugee camps in eastern Chad. Education for a Generation will include hors d’eouvres, music, and presentations by community leaders including Bulls star Luol Deng and John Prendergast, co-founder of the Enough Project. Jim Rose, the ABC-7 sportscaster, will be moderating this event. It’s a great opportunity to talk with your favorite Bulls player while learning more about efforts to improve the education system in Darfuri refugee camps.

We would love for you to be able to join us! If this sounds something you’d be interested in, you can find tickets and information on our website:

I recently got offered to go in on some Blackhawks season tickets. I was offered a 1/4 season, two tickets in the 100 level. Sounds good right? The only problem is the price, $125 a ticket, that's $250 for the game. After drinks and some food I have to take out a home equity loan, and I thought gas prices were high.

I'm told that the Blackhawks are one of the cheaper tickets in hockey. Can you believe this ticket gouging!?!

Overall ticket prices seem to be skyrocketing, but people are still paying. And when the tickets sell out people to go to Stubhub.com or Ebay where the prices are even higher I guess there's no way around it, I just needed to vent.

Lets hear the bets everyone has going this season. Here's what I have so far...

1. 12 tall boys of Miller Lite says that the Sox will have a better record than the Cubs.
2. A cub fan at work is buying me lunch when Sweet Lou gets tossed before Ozzie.
3. Same cub fan will be buying me lunch at the all star break and season end for the Sox boasting a better record.
