The Cubs have extended his contract through 2012. Hopefully he can get the final few pieces to put them over the top and into the Series.

Here he goes again. Hope his crystal ball is clear again. Rich Harden seems like he could be a good pickup if he can stay off the disabled list. I always had hope for Murton and Paterson but all they did was yoyo back and forth to the minors. Never developed the consistency needed. Who am I to question Hendry? His moves have been right on so far.

Too bad Hendry and/or Williams can't sign her up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSGqK-nZkaU&feature=related

I wonder how he could spot that he had more baseball in him. Glad I was wrong and it seems to be working out.

Edmonds has been on fire lately. For the last 30 day his average has been .367 according to the Cubs website. Looks like is was a good move.

Couldn't agree more. Jim Edmonds WAS the man. Even though Pie can't swing the bat, he can't get better if he's not in. Jimmy has proven himself, so it's possible he has a season left in him. Either way, I would rather have the younger guys in there.

Murton sucks :P

I'm not sure about Hendry purchasing Jim Edmonds - could his crystal ball be clouding over? He's 38 with about 14 or 15 years in MLB. What makes him think that after his substandard play at SD the first part of this year and the last 3 years at St Louis he will snap out of his funk and start producing again? I would rather see Pie and Murton (who haven't been that bad) getting playing time to help their development.
